A New Story in Night City
Four years after the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners captured audiences with its striking animation, memorable characters, and devastating storytelling, CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER are returning to the universe with an entirely standalone adventure.
Rather than continuing the story of David Martinez and his crew, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 introduces a new group of characters, each navigating the brutality and unpredictability of Night City through their own personal struggles.
The story follows four distinct individuals: a veteran edgerunner, a young cinephile, a chrome-obsessed delinquent, and a Snake Nation netrunner. Their intertwining journeys explore themes of vengeance, redemption, and survival in a city where ambition often comes at a devastating cost.
The new installment is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with Kanno Ichigo serving as Lead Character Designer. Returning collaborators include Masahiko Otsuka and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor, who takes on the roles of showrunner, story writer, and producer.

Scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026, the free update will introduce new items and features, including content inspired by the latest anime series.
