HTC looks to be making improvements to their industry favorite HTC Advantage program they launched with the HTC One M8 and have revamped it a bit with what they are calling “Uh-Oh Protection”. Whether it’s a Cracked Screen, Water Damage or even a Carrier Switch, HTC will provide you with a One Time Exchange Free of Charge. If you don’t use the program at all with 12 months they will shave $100 off your next HTC device.
HTC will give you two options with doing the swap. Either you can have a $299 credit card hold and they will send you out a phone in two business days or you can send them the damaged phone and wait for them to send a new device two days after they receive it with no temporary credit card hold.
This program is quite a gem to have with your HTC device and you can only imagine if other phone manufacturers followed suit such as Samsung, Motorola or Sony. For those that are accident prone its a good thing to look into and could help you save some money.

UH OH Protection includes one free replacement within the first 12 months for a cracked screen, water damage or if you decide to switch carriers.
HTC UH OH Protection provides consumers who damage their new HTC One M9 with an untimely fall onto the pavement or into a toilet with a free phone replacement within 12 months of purchase. Consumers who don’t take advantage of UH OH Protection within the first 12 months will receive $100 towards the purchase of a future HTC One.

Based on a Google Insights Survey conducted in March 2015 with individuals that had damaged their smartphone:
o 69% of respondents said they have damaged their phone in the past 12 months, and
o 47% of those that have repaired their phone spent $100 or more, while
o 25% are currently using a damaged phone
