DREAME Leaptic Cube

Dreame Technology is expanding beyond smart home robotics and stepping directly into personal imaging, debuting the Leaptic Cube 8K AI thumb action camera alongside four futuristic vision concepts at IFA 2026. Designed for creators who want spontaneous point-of-view capture without dragging around bulky gear, the Leaptic Cube tackles setup friction head-on.

The Leaptic Cube: Flagship Power Under Two Ounces

Weighing just 55.9 grams (a hair under 2 oz), the Leaptic Cube clips magnetically onto shirts, hats, or gear, shifting effortlessly between hands-free POV recording, travel vlogging, and action sports.

The tech inside is something to watch: a 1/1.3-inch sensor helps capture a wide dynamic range while still keeping your images crisp, even in tricky lighting situations. The sensor also allows the Leaptic Cube to shoot native 8K video which can be downsampled to 4K HDR; there’s even the ability to capture 4K slow motion shots at 120 frames per second. In the background, the 4nm AI Processor works in real-time to clear up noise and boost night-time shooting image quality, and the Moko AI Voice Control enables fully hands-free operation – allowing you to switch shooting modes or start recording without looking down at the device.

Four Futuristic Concepts Target the Next Generation of Content

Alongside the Leaptic Cube, Dreame previewed four concept cameras that integrate motorized gimbals and computational AI directly into traditional camera bodies.

  • Dual-Camera Flip Screen Gimbal: Built for travel vloggers and everyday creators, featuring a lightweight dual-lens setup, a multi-angle flip display, and an integrated motorized gimbal.
  • Triple-Camera Full-Screen Gimbal: Designed for sports, outdoor, and wildlife tracking, featuring a multi-lens computational zoom array, multi-axis AI subject tracking, and an edge-to-edge full-screen display interface.
  • Gimbal Mirrorless Camera: Tailored for hybrid photo/video storytellers, blending ergonomic mirrorless handling directly with built-in AI gimbal stabilization.
  • Gimbal Cinema Camera: Engineered for indie filmmakers and studio pros, packing a cinema-grade sensor, native Apple ProRes recording, and AI-driven production workflows.

Why We’re Excited About DREAME

Effortless placement with fully hands-free operation make the DREAME Leaptic Cube a camera to watch.

As noted above, DREAME is one of many Chinese tech companies that are actively building new and exciting camera products that are leveraging AI technology to help photographers and videographers capture content in unique ways. By combining features like native Apple ProRes recording with in-camera, AI-powered image enhancement, DREAME is picking up where many of the traditional camera manufacturers seem to be falling behind.

US Price Outlook and Launch Expectations

Sadly, the DREAME Leaptic Cube might be just outside the reach of many US creators, with an initial rollout in Europe and a vague promise to (maybe) launch in the US in the near future. The Leaptic Cube rolls out in Europe this September at €399.00 (approximately $435 USD). While official US release dates and final USD pricing are pending announcements for the American market, US availability is expected to follow the European rollout later this fall across major electronics retailers and direct online channels. For now, we’re keeping an eye on this one.
