The Fujifilm Instax Mini has become a statement camera for a generation of photographers looking for a fun, nostalgic camera that doesn’t compromise instant gratification. The Instax Mini 13 continues its legacy of fun, easy-to-use cameras, with a relatively affordable medium (Instax film costs about $1 per frame), and adds some new features to keep things fresh. Here’s what we can expect.
Instax Mini 13 Key Features

- Dual Self-Timers: A new addition providing 2-second or 10-second delay options.
- Wedge-Shaped Accessory: Includes an angle adjustment tool to assist with hands-free selfies.
- Parallax Correction: In Close-Up Mode, the viewfinder aligns specifically with the lens to ensure your subject remains centered.
- Intuitive Lens Control: Powering the camera on/off and engaging Close-Up Mode is handled via a simple twist of the lens.
- Automatic Exposure & Flash: The camera automatically adjusts exposure and flash levels to optimize image quality in varying light conditions.
- Selfie Mirror: A built-in mirror on the front of the camera helps you frame your shots.
Fujifilm is adding a bit more “pop” to the world of analog photography. On March 16, 2026, the company announced the Instax Mini 13, a successor to the popular Mini 12 that leans into a playful, “sculpted” aesthetic while adding some much-requested functionality. The biggest of these is the introduction of dual self-times that allow for a 2-second or 10-second delay, giving the photographer a chance to join the frame.
The pairing of the lens control mechanism with parallax correction is sure to be a hit among Mini users, as it will keep things properly in frame when shooting up close. Keeping the main functions, powering on/off, and engaging close-up mode, on the lens will also allow the photographer to keep their eye on the scene instead of hunting buttons on a camera.
Instax UP! App and a New Instax Film
Fujifilm is also releasing a new app and a Pastel Galaxy version of the Instax Mini instant film to complement the new Mini 13. The app is designed for Instax users to digitally scan, catalog, and organize their photos in one place. Best of all, the app can be used with any Instax camera, film, or printer they might already use.
The Pastel Galaxy instant film for Instax Mini gives off a soft, dreamy vibe that’s perfect for spring/summer. It’s the perfect complement to the new Mini 13 and the available camera colors.
