Back when ROCCAT was still doing its own thing, the Burst series stood out for one reason—pure performance at a lightweight design. Now that Turtle Beach has fully integrated ROCCAT’s DNA into its own lineup, the Burst II Pro Esports Gaming Mouse (Buy Now) feels like the natural evolution. Having spent time with the original Burst, I immediately noticed how this one pushes boundaries—not just by keeping that familiar symmetrical design, but by giving it the kind of precision and fluidity that pro players crave. It’s fast, efficient, and shockingly comfortable for marathon sessions.

Build Quality

The Burst II Pro looks and feels premium from the jump. Turtle Beach’s approach here leans on refinement over flash. The 57g symmetrical shell maintains that featherweight agility while improving on structural integrity—no flexing, no creaking, just a solid, well-balanced frame. The matte coating has a soft-touch feel that stays grippy even after long sessions. Combined with the included performance-enhancing grip tape and skate sets, it’s ready to handle both claw and fingertip grip users. Personally, I found it best suited for medium-sized hands—the sweet spot for most competitive players.

Under the hood, it packs Titan Optical Switches rated for 100 million clicks, providing crisp, instantaneous responses without the mushiness that plagues traditional mechanical switches. Every click feels deliberate, snappy, and consistent across sessions. It’s an ideal feel for games like Valorant, CS2, and even Destiny 2’s Crucible. The charging and connectivity setup also deserves praise. Turtle Beach nailed the wireless experience—no input delay, no sudden disconnects. It connects via true 8K wireless polling, achieving a latency of just 0.125ms, which is eight times faster than standard gaming mice. That level of responsiveness practically eliminates input lag entirely.

Performance

Performance-wise, this mouse is an absolute beast. The Owl-Eye™ 30K DPI sensor, paired with 750 IPS tracking and 70g acceleration, made my aim feel more natural than ever. On glass, cloth, and hybrid mousepads, accuracy remained rock solid. During tests in Borderlands 4, I noticed smoother motion and pixel-perfect tracking even when whipping across large mousepads. Battery life also impressed me. At 8 kHz polling, you get around 40 hours of continuous use, but when dropped to 1 kHz, it stretches to 150 hours—a massive difference without compromising precision for most players. I easily went days before thinking about recharging, and with USB-C quick charging, downtime was minimal.

What really sealed the deal was how consistent it stayed across genres. Whether I was flicking through enemies in Overwatch 2 or editing footage in DaVinci Resolve, the Burst II Pro delivered that same fluid control and precision. It doesn’t just feel like an esports mouse—it feels like an all-around performance tool that happens to excel in competitive settings.
