Compact. Capable. Built for modern mobility.
Anker’s Nano lineup continues to evolve, and the 10K with 45W output and built-in retractable cable is its most utility-driven model yet. It’s a power bank made for people who move fast, travel light, and don’t want their portable charger taking up more room than it needs to. The unit itself is about the size of a small smartphone, coated in a smooth matte finish that resists fingerprints and slips easily into a jacket pocket or tech pouch. Anker built this one for functionality over flash. The built-in 27.6-inch retractable USB-C cable eliminates the need to carry a separate wire. It slides out cleanly, locks into place, and retracts smoothly with a gentle pull. That alone changes the daily experience. The addition of a physical USB-A port means you can charge a second device in a pinch, though the main draw is clearly the single-cable approach.
Power’s Seamlessly

In terms of power, the 45W USB-C output is no joke. It handled an iPhone 15 Pro Max, a Galaxy S24 Ultra, and a ROG Ally X without issue. The handheld charged from 10% to over 50% in about 50 minutes, matching what I’d expect from a dedicated 45W wall adapter. The Nano also supports pass-through charging, meaning it can act as a mini charging hub while plugged into the wall. The bright TFT display on the side shows battery percentage and live power draw, and it updates in real time. It’s functional display that lets you know how much charge you’re pushing and how much is left.
Pros
- Genuine 45W PD charging — laptop ready
- Clean, retractable USB-C cable
- Real-time display with clear battery stats
- Compact, travel-friendly build
- USB-A backup for second device
- Excellent thermal and circuit protection
Cons
- No wireless charging
- Retractable cable limits flexibility in tight spaces
- Slightly heavier than expected at 230g

Anker clearly put effort into thermal management. During multi-device charging, the unit stayed cool to the touch. It includes all the standard protections: over-current, over-voltage, and temperature throttling when needed, though I never hit a point where performance dropped due to heat. The weight, at around 230 grams, is a bit more than expected for the size, but not enough to become a burden. If you toss it in a sling or a laptop bag, you won’t notice it. Where this power bank truly shines is in the day-to-day. Whether I was in a coffee shop, on a train, or prepping a bag for travel, it was always ready. The retractable cable made charging frictionless. No tangles, no forgetting a cord, no fraying ends. It’s a product that feels like it was built around how people actually use their gear.
REVIEW SCORE: 8.5/10
There are a few misses. It doesn’t support wireless charging, which limits flexibility if you’re running accessories or earbuds. The retractable cable, while clean, also means you’re working with a fixed length. If the port on your device is awkwardly placed, it can be a bit stiff in certain positions. And for a Nano-labeled product, it’s not the lightest in the lineup. But as a whole package, it balances power, portability, and purpose better than most 10K banks in its class.
