Having reviewed CHERRY XTRFY’s mice and keyboards over the past few years, I’ve come to associate the brand with a certain ethos: functional design, pro-level performance, and an attention to detail that caters to both competitive and enthusiast audiences. While I hadn’t tested their H1 or H2 headsets personally, I had a good sense of their design philosophy going into the H3 Wireless—their first leap into wireless audio. And after weeks of testing the H3 Wireless across gaming, content creation, and daily listening, it’s clear that CHERRY XTRFY didn’t enter this space lightly. This isn’t just a rebranded OEM build—they’ve designed something that feels purpose-driven, rooted in the same no-frills excellence that’s made their peripherals a staple in my setup.
Tuned for Tactical Play
From the moment I unboxed the H3 Wireless, I noticed how much it shared the same clean, esports-ready aesthetic that’s made their mice and boards stand out. There’s a utilitarian simplicity here—no RGB, no gimmicks, just lightweight comfort and durability. The aluminum headband feels premium yet flexible. Memory foam earcups strike a solid balance between cushion and breathability. Clamping pressure is spot-on: secure during quick movements, never oppressive. What impressed me most was how the headset just disappears during long sessions—whether I was deep into a multiplayer grind or editing audio clips, comfort was never a concern.

While I can’t compare the H3 Wireless to CHERRY’s previous headsets directly, I can say this: the tuning here feels laser-focused on clarity and spatial awareness—something I immediately appreciated in shooters like Counter-Strike 2, Battlefield 2042, and Rainbow Six Siege. The 53mm drivers deliver a clean soundstage with strong directional cues. Footsteps and enemy reloads cut through the mix without being overly bright. Bass is tight, not boomy—designed for definition, not drama. The headset handles music and video well too, though its profile leans more toward the competitive edge than cinematic warmth. That said, the onboard EQ presets provide just enough variation to adapt to different types of content.
What sets the H3 Wireless apart from the sea of mid-tier wireless headsets is just how seamless the transition between modes is. Low-latency 2.4GHz mode is rock-solid, with zero dropout across my PC and Steam Deck sessions. Bluetooth 5.2 adds real convenience for phone calls, YouTube watching, and casual listening. Battery life lives up to the marketing—80–100 hours was easily achievable in my use. It’s clear CHERRY didn’t rush their wireless implementation. I never ran into sync issues or audio delay—something that plagues more expensive headsets even today.
The detachable boom mic isn’t groundbreaking, but it gets the job done—and cleanly at that. Voice clarity is crisp, with no distortion or excessive compression. Background rejection is decent, especially in Discord calls and game lobbies. It won’t replace a dedicated streaming mic, but for everyday use, it’s more than serviceable.

Where It Falls Short
No product is perfect, and the H3 Wireless makes a couple of trade-offs that are worth pointing out. No 3.5mm jack – You’re locked into wireless-only operation, which might be a dealbreaker for users who rely on analog inputs or want to plug directly into console controllers. No companion software – Unlike some competitors, there’s no desktop app for EQ tuning or firmware updates. The preset EQs work, but granular control is missing. For a company that’s done some great things with customizability in their mice (like the M68 Pro I recently tested), the lack of software support on the H3 feels like a missed opportunity.
REVIEW SCORE: 8/10
While I’ve become familiar with CHERRY XTRFY through their mice and keyboards, the H3 Wireless now adds something else to that mix: versatility. It’s a no-nonsense headset that’s clearly built with intention, and while it doesn’t chase trends, it checks all the right boxes for competitive and casual gamers alike. You get excellent directional audio, reliable battery life, and cross-device wireless performance—all in a package that feels thoughtfully executed, not rushed. For their first wireless headset, CHERRY XTRFY has delivered something that feels like a continuation of their brand DNA—function-forward, pro-ready, and comfortable to live with.
