Urban Armor Gear is best known for its Pathfinder and Monarch serious of cases. These are considered their most rugged and protective of cases, but the design may be too aggressive for some. That’s why UAG has the more modern looking Civilian series, which provides the same rugged protection, but in a stylish and less in your face design for a cleaner more sophisticated appearance.
This version of the UAG Civilian is for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, but you’ll see similar styling and performance for your device. You’re look at about 20ft of drop protection thanks to the patent-pending design which features two shock absorbing materials with a dynamic hexagon pattern. UAG calls this HyperCush technology. The outer layer exoskeleton is made of polycarbonate while the inner layer is TPU.

Design-wise, the Civilian case has raised camera bezels, large tactile buttons, and cutouts for all necessary ports, speakers, mics, and the S-Pen. I like the minimalist back with just URBN-ARMR-GEAR etched into it. The case is smooth, but does feel a bit slippery as there’s no real grip on the back. It does feel comfortable to hold at least.
Overall, I really like the look and feel of the UAG Civilian series case on my Galaxy S24 Ultra. It offers superior protection in an ultra modern body that looks just as good in the office as it does on an outdoor adventure.
