GameSir’s latest mobile controller for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS is the GameSir X2s, featuring a USB-C connection, Hall Effect sticks and triggers, and support for cloud gaming platforms. This controller will work for any new generation iPhone with a USB-C connector and any current Android phone, including foldable.
The GameSir X2s is similar to their other mobile controller, the G8 Galileo except it’s a little bit smaller and more compact, doesn’t have back buttons, and doesn’t have customizable sticks. However, it has everything else we loved about the G8 Galileo such as Hall Effect sticks and triggers, microswitches for the buttons, turbo feature, and powered by your phone. It also has design elements inspired by the Nintendo 2DS, though it has a color scheme similar to the original Super Nintendo.

Using the controller is as simple as plugging your phone into the USB-C connector. While it does accept a wide variety of different-sized phones and folding phones, you can not use it with a phone case. That’s the one downside with this, especially if you run a case on your phone. You’ll need to take it off to use the controller.
Aside from that, you’ll be very pleased with the Hall Effect joysticks and triggers as they are a joy to use and you’ll never have to worry about stick drift. This is a great controller if you’re playing games from services like Xbox Games Pass, PS Remote Play, Steam Link, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna.

FINAL THOUGHTS
While it doesn’t have as many features as the GameSir G8 Galileo, the GameSir X2s has all the features that matter. Not only that, it’s more compact so it’s easier to carry around, and has better compatibility with folding phones. The build quality on it is really good and the use of high-quality parts like the Hall Effect sticks and triggers makes this an absolute must-have.
