Upon the upcoming release of Dune: Part Two that’s coming in theaters nationwide on March 1st. Microsoft and XBOX have forged a partnership that brings not only the deserts of Arrakis from the Dune movie to Microsoft Flight Simulator it also brings along with it a new custom Xbox Series S console and controller that is unlike anything we’ve seen from an XBOX custom controller before.
For those players that enjoy Microsoft Flight Simulator you get to fly around the desert of Arrakis in a Royal Atreides Ornithopter as part of an expansion that includes three tutorials: take-off, landing, and freefall. Once simmers have mastered the basics, they can move on to attempt the package’s six activities: five-time trials and a daring rescue mission where aviators must save their flight instructor before a massive sandstorm engulfs him.
This custom XBOX series S is beautifully colored in a burnt orange with the Dune logo but not only that it comes with a custom Ornithopter stand. Aside from that, the included XBOX controller itself that floats over a mock sand dune from the desert of Arrakis.
