After the release of the stylish sophisticated looking MAG:2, Courant is back again giving you a revitalized look this time in charging tray form called the MAG:3. A device that looks to be on your favorite nightstand or desk showcasing your favorite items.
Style
MAG:3 comes in two styles with “Essentials” being their Linen version which comes in three colors of Camel, Natural, and Charcoal which all look to be a soft material. We checked out the other style which is the MAG:3 Classics. This version is gold-rated Italian Leather and comes in two colors of Saddle and Black.
The charging tray is 11” wide and its surface is covered in leather. Within the tray where you see the oval is zinc alloy that gives the device a bit of weight. There are two USB-C ports on the back with one for Output (supports 10W) and the other for Input.
The MAG:3 Classic comes with a matching braided USB-C to USB-A cable and power brick.
Features / Usage
If you notice within that zinc alloy is a charging pad which can charge your iPhone. Next to that is the ability to charge a pair of wireless capable AirPods. The main portion provides 7.5W of MagSafe compatible charging while the right is at 5W QI compatible charging. Essentially if you like you can also charge an Android device like a Pixel 7 Pro or a pair of earbuds like the Sony XM5 earbuds.
Besides charging your devices the MAG:3 is also suited for placing your other items. Say a set of keys, wallet, sunglasses, jewelry, you name it. This helps the MAG:3 fit into any décor and be welcome and not stand out too much.
Verdict
If you are looking for some modern stylish wireless charging, the MAG:3 will be up your alley. Depending on the color you get it can either blend in or stand out whichever you prefer. One thing is to say you are paying for a luxury design as the MAG:3 Classic is $200 while the Essentials version is $150. As of this writing both are currently on sale.
