| Why Was Naked Snake So Stiff Looking? |
It’s finally coming – the remake we’ve all been waiting for was just announced in the PlayStation Showcase 2023: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It seems as though Konami is planning on remaking the entire franchise without the numerical title. We can see an immensely detailed close-up of some dirt where a legion of ants follows a trail that leads to a dead frog. Soon enough a sparrow snatches the frog, flies to a nearby lake that is then attacked by a anaconda, and quickly by an allegator. These series of event is symbolic to the bosses Naked Snake would eventually fight throughout the story – and lo’ he is revealed before the camera shifts upwards to a delta-shaped tree opening.
The presentation was deeply intriguing, I wonder of the level of work that is being placed into this remake without Hideo Kojima – sure his DNA is within the game, but you don’t want it to be altered too much; how much of it is staying, and how much of it is changing. The teaser does give a minor hint that it may have a wide-open zone that’s explorable similar to Jedi: Survivor perhaps, but that’s speculation.
