For CES this year Sennheiser introduced a couple of new earbuds and one of the more compelling ones looks to be their Conversation Clear Plus. While they may look like their typical earbuds they have a lot more going for them than meets the eye.
The Conversation Clear Plus(or ill say CCP for short) takes conversations you have in noisy environments and focuses directly to your ears. This would work for instance if you are walking the busy streets, in a crowded restaurant or in a conference suite with multiple meetings going on as we were.
They are using Sonova chip tech which improves calls and convos while using Sennheiser Automatic Scene Detection feature.
Putting these in your ears is like any other earbud but once the feature kicks in its quite the experience. With multiple people around me whoever I’m looking directly at the conversation seemed to beam into my ears. By doing so it blocked any words being said on my left or right side. If I turned my head to my right that convo would instantly click dialing out that person I was previously talking to.
Now there are options where you can turn the sensitivity of this up and down via the app. The app itself seemed easy to handle and also had scenarios such as Relax, Communication, and Streaming. The earbuds do carry 9hrs of power while the case will give you an extra 27.
It will be fascinating to see how well this holds up in everyday scenarios and wearing them for long periods. Hopefully we do eventually get some more time with them but so far, my interest is peaked.
