Chances are that if you’re reading this right now, you’ve let time run out on getting someone on your list a gift. Just because you’ve neglected your gift-giving duties doesn’t mean you have to resort to gift cards or worse, something that will inevitably be regifted. That’s what this guide is all about so let’s jump right into some crowd-pleasers that won’t cost you more than $200.

For the Music Lover – JBL Flip 5

Music is everything to me – I work with music playing, I work out with music, and if we’re ever at a cookout or outdoor gathering, best believe that music is a must! That’s why the JBL Flip 5 is a great stocking stuffer/last-minute gift item for anyone that loves music. I’ve personally been using the JBL Flip 5 for about a year and while there are newer options, this one will be just fine for most people. The JBL Flip 5 has a rich, deep-sounding bass with very bright mid tones with a battery life that’s good for a few hours without compromising on volume. You can pick one up for $70 and have it delivered in time for the big day (Prime members).

For the Photography Enthusiast – Kodak Ektar H35

If you’ve got a photographer on your list but “gift card” is the only thing that came to mind, consider this instead – the Kodak Ektar H35. The Kodak Ektar H35 is a half-frame 35mm film camera (I.e., the “H35” moniker) that’s simple enough for a novice to pick up and with enough of a retro style that might appeal to more advanced enthusiasts.

Having shot other half-frame analog cameras in the past – it’s a great, fun way to maximize the number of shots per roll of film. So, feel free to take as many snapshots as you like.

For the Pro on the Go – SanDisk  Extreme PRO Portable SSD v2

This is our priciest item on this list at $150 as of this writing, but if you’re looking for a great gift idea for the creator in your life, you can never go wrong with extra storage. The SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable 1TB SSD is by far one of the most reliable pieces of gear that I’ve owned – it’s rugged enough to handle use in the elements and portable enough to slip into a jacket pocket in a pinch. Version 2 (our recommendation) improves the read/write speeds from the earlier model, which should keep up with most modern systems.

Available from SanDisk starting at $160.

For the iPhone Power User – Zens Dual+Watch

Wireless charging solutions are a dime a dozen however, not all of them are as sleek looking at the Zens Dual+Watch. In our review, Sam had this to say about the Zens Dual+Watch

If you’re looking for a really good-looking wireless charger for all your Apple devices, Zens has you covered with the Zens Dual+Watch Aluminum Wireless Charger. I love the quality materials it employs and that for Apple owners, you can charge all your devices at once, and we all know most of you have an iPhone, Air Pods, and an Apple Watch. The Zens unit will look great on anyone’s nightstand or desk, and you’ll wonder why you never had a wireless charger before.

Zens Dual+Watch is on sale for $99 on Amazon

For the Power User – Anker GaNPrime 65W Charger

Yes, I’m fully aware that I recently included this in a round-up for gifts for photographers but it’s just such a great gift for anyone that needs a high-speed charger and travels (even if it’s to the coffee shop to get some work done). This tiny but mighty charger is typically found charging my MacBook Pro, an iPhone, and my iPods without adding any bulk to my daily carry.

Available on Amazon for $60

For the Android Social Media Mogul – Moment Case & Lens Bundle

If you’re looking for something special for the social media superstar in your life, you can’t go wrong with the Moment Case & Lens Starter Bundle for Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy phones. Apart from providing stylish protection for your devices, these cases include mounts for Moment’s lineup of mobile photography lenses. I’ve been using the Moment Case with an Anamorphic (Blue) Lens since it became available in 2018 and can’t recommend it enough to anyone that wants to dabble in cinematic video creation.

Moment Holiday Sale $88-98 depending on the model.

For the Cord Cutter – Roku Streaming Stick 4K

If you been thinking about cutting the cord or your TV or console just seems slow with streaming apps, the Streaming Stick 4K by Roku is a great solution. It has access to a plethora of apps and supports content such as HDR and Dolby Vision to give you stunning quality. There is a even a massive library of free TV channels as well.

Available on Amazon and other retailers ranging between $25-40

A Final Thought

Now that we’ve taken care of all the gifts, now let’s focus on what the holidays are truly all about: coquito and what to binge-watch next on Netflix. Happy Holidays.
