Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack Keeps Electronics and Other Items Dry [Review]

Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack

Apparently a must-have item when camping is a dry bag. These are bags meant to keep certain items you have dry and secure from the elements. These could be items like smartphones, camera equipment, keys, food, clothing, etc. Luckily, there are tons of dry bag brands out there, but the one we’re checking out is the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry sack. This is a light, waterproof bag that can be easily carried in your pack and just as easily used when needed.

The Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack comes in seven different sizes ranging from 1-Liter to 35-Liters and five different colors. The sack is made of 70D waterproof nylon fabric. The interior has a polyurethane coating in white which is used to improve viability and make it easier to find small items in low visibility settings.

The Dry Sacks use a hypalon non-wicking roll-top closure. Basically all you do is fill your bag with what you want to keep dry, then roll down the top about three times, and then secure it shut by buckling it. There’s a D-ring attachment at the buckle too which will allow you to hang this on your backpack or a carabiner.

For the most part, the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Sack works as it should. It does keep items dry and the wetness out. I like the fact that it’s super light and so easy to carry multiple Dry Sacks if needed and they take up very little space. This is definitely something worth taking with you on outdoor adventures and Sea to Summit makes a pretty good Dry Sack. Quick note, for electronic devices, Sea to Summit recommends double-bagging if you are using in very wet conditions, such as paddling or watersports.
