Skull & Co. GripCase Lite
Skull & Co. GripCase Lite

Those of you with the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition know how difficult it is to find matching accessories for it. In terms of a case, the best you can do is a clear one so that the beautify Zacian and Zamazenta Edition design can show through while still being protected. The one I was using was quite good, but decided I needed something with a bit more grip at the palms which is why I’m currently checking out the Skull & Co. GripCase Lite. What’s great about this case is not only is it clear, it also includes grips that match the cyan and magenta colors of the Zacian and Zamazenta Edition.

The Skull & Co. GripCase Lite is made like a lot of other clear cases in that it is made of soft, yet rigid TPU material. It fits nice and snug over your Switch Lite and provides very good protection once it is on. This case however seems a lot better than the previous one I was using and I’ll explain why.

This case covers up several areas that my previous case left open. For instance, the SD card slot is covered up as well as the power button and volume rocker. I can understand about the SD card slot because once you insert a card, you really never have to reopen that port. As for the power button and volume rocker, you need to fret because the case has it’s own built in that goes over these. That means that the power button and volume rocker still function and are now protected from things like dust and dirt.

The Skull & Co. GripCase Lite also has something I haven’t seen on other clear TPU cases and this built in protection for the triggers and shoulder buttons. These are covers that go over these buttons and are enlarged which provide better control and protection.

Lastly, what gives the GripCase Lite its name are the interchangeable palm grips that slide into the back of the case. There are three different sizes you can switch between which gives you the option of choosing whichever fits your hands better. You can even mix and match the sizes to accommodate each individual hand. Also, because this version of the GripCase matches up with the Zacian and Zamazenta Edition, the left grip is cyan while the right grip is magenta.

Is the Skull & Co. GripCase Lite worth the purchase if you own a Nintendo Switch Lite? I think so. This is the best case I’ve used so far on my Switch Lite and one that has added protection in areas I didn’t have before. However, its the included grips that really stand out and make a huge different when it comes to gaming on the Switch Lite. Not only does it make it much more comfortable, especially during long hours of gaming, but also allows for a more secure grip while playing.

With that said, the Skull & Co. GripCase Lite is definitely worth the purchase and well worth the price. For those who have the regular Nintendo Switch Lite, you can also pick the grips up in yellow, turquoise, and gray to match those.
