Destiny 2 is getting closer and closer to the new Shadowkeep DLC and Bungie since their separation from Activision has been doing everything that they wanted to do with Destiny without the hamstrings. If you as a Destiny player has been paying attention then you know that there are a multitude of changes coming to the game from the armor enhancements, returning to old but much improved landscapes from D1 and so on. I’m quite impressed but so far nothing has blown me away as much as I love the changes, that’s until Bungie introduced cross save…finally.

Cross save is going to be a game changer for Destiny 2 players that are continuing the game and even more so for those who are starting anew. I tried it for the first time last night when it went live. It’s very easy to do. Easier than I thought. I won’t get into the details of how to do it but you can go to Bungie.net and set it up and link your console accounts to play on whatever platform you see fit with all of your guardians and clan attributes. If you still need some help I found an informative video from one of my favorite Destiny YouTubers Houndish on how to do it that you can check out below.

Playing Destiny 2 on PC is a completely different experience because of cross-save. Right now I’m playing Destiny 2 with my PS4 profile on my PC in 1440p at 144Mhz and well over 60fps. I’m using my RTX 2070 GPU to get that incredible gameplay resolution and much higher framerates and it’s a game changer for me. You really get to see how great a game Destiny 2 is if you have a PC powerful enough to support the changes you can make. I’m loving it right now. If there are any drawbacks so far, the major one is not being to communicate with my friends via chat with my PSN account. It’s all linked through Battle.net for now so Destiny 2 would only be playable from the list of friends that I have within that account. That kind of sucks but, I guess you can’t have it all. We’ll see what happens going forward.

With cross-save and new light coming Bungie looks to really expand on their vision of Destiny 2 as a whole and we can already see it in just a short amount of time. Imagine what Destiny 3 is going to be like, but for now. enjoy cross save and get ready for Shadowkeep this September.
