Its been nine years since Andy said goodbye to beloved toys. As someone who has been on this journey since the beginning, I was almost certain with Toy Story 3, there weren’t more stories to tell. I was proven wrong, as this trailer was certainly prepared to answer any further questions I could possibly ask.
The teaser trailer introduced us to Forky, Bonnie’s creation and at this point in her life the most important toy. Unfortunately, Forky believes his sole purpose is to be a disposable one-used utensil. After escaping the family’s RV, Woody decides to find the runaway spork to convince him of his potential. Things slightly change when Woody is reunited with his old flame Bo Peep.
The original gang returns for (at least) one last adventure, with new cast members including, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, and Pixar finally revealed Keanu Reeves will be voicing “Duke Caboom”. Director Josh Cooley was formally a storyboard artist for ‘The (first) Incredibles’, ‘Cars’, ‘Ratatouille’, ‘Up’ and ‘Cars 2’.
Avengers: Toy Story 4 opens June 21st, 2019.
