After the events of Fate of the Furious (Fast 8) one prediction has finally come to past, what are the odds they would take two popular characters and create a spin-off?
In ‘Fast Five’, Luke Hobbs made his debut as Luke Hobbs, a federal agent determined to capture Dominic Toretto and his team. Over the course of a few films, Hobbs became a fast ally and joined forces with the team to track down Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, a former mercenary and the villain in ‘Furious Seven’. In 2017’s ‘Fate of the Furious’, Shaw’s character was given a clever redemption arc. In Hobbs and Shaw, the pair are forced to work together again, this time to hunt down the new big bad called, Brixton played by Idris Elba. Some new but familiar faces to the franchise include Venessa Kirby from ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ and Eiza González from ‘Baby Driver’. If the trailer is any indication the film looks to be as adrenaline-fueled as the previous Fast films with loads of humor. A perfect match for Director David Leitch, whose last film was last summer’s ‘Deadpool 2’. Fast and Furious Presents Hobbs and Shaw arrives in theater’s this summer starting August 2, 2019
