It been pretty quiet with Alcatel since they announced the IDOL 4S back at Mobile World Congress some months ago. Fast forward to the summer and we finally got a firm release date of August 3 with it going on sale at $399.99 or if you want to be an early adopter you can pre-order this coming Friday on July 15th and also save $50 with the total bundle being $349.99. Now besides you saving $349.99 you also get the VR Googles which were mentioned before, JBL earbuds, tempered glass protector, and check this a case of your choosing from Incipio. Alcatel worked with Incipio to bring some awesome case choices for the IDOL 4S. Oh yes there is free shipping too.
Specs are still the same as they detailed months ago with a 5.5″ QHD AMOLED display, 3,000mAh battery, 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage(supports microSD expandable to 200GB), Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, Adreno 510 GPU, NFC, and has DualSim capabilities as well. The IDOL 4S is running Android M 6.1 out the box and also has a 16MP camera with a Sony sensor.
Alcatel was known with the IDOL 3 to give you alot of bang for your buck but they might be hitting it out the park with their upcoming release of the IDOL 4S. Stay tuned as we will have hands-on, and a full on review of the IDOL 4S.
