One of the big surprises at E3 last week was the reveal that “Kitchen” was actually Resident Evil(Biohazard) 7 and we got experience all this in PlayStation VR view during their presser. While it did look all nice and dandy on the big screen I had to get my hands-on it and try it first hand. Even if I had some last-minute woes on if I should do this or not.

So while my colleague Sam tried the PS Plus demo out and gave you his feedback I’ll give you some insight on how I felt about it. First off if things spook you easily this demo or game isn’t for the faint of heart. Once I put on the VR I actually felt like I was in the house and looking around peeking about every corner. You still move with the PS controller but just having that idea something can creep up on you anytime is exciting. Mind you I played the VR demo the whole time waiting to get scared shitless.

I used it with a pair of Sony headphones and the audio quality of RE7 is great. Visuals look good and it has a totally different feel then the past couple of games. I tried out the VR demo and the PS demo and they are really the same game besides the VR look around experience. It does add a ton of realism and I enjoyed it and wonder how people will actually sit and play it like this the entire time.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me about the experience and let us know if you will try it out too or go with the regular version
