Today besides Alcatel announcing their successor IDOL 4 series of smartphones they are also showing off their latest entry into Windows devices. Last month they showed us their first windows smartphone with the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce XL and now are giving us their first Windows tablet/laptop hybrid with the PLUS 10.
It’s an interesting 2-in-1 hybrid as its tablet alone runs on WiFi but hook it up to the included keyboard and you will get LTE connectivity for 4G speeds and also turns into a mobile hotspot providing service to up to 15 devices.
The PLUS 10 has three modes, “Tablet”, “Laptop”, and “Dock”. The first two are the obvious and usual features while the third looks to be just having the keyboard folded back for multimedia consumption if anything.
For its size it does pack a decent amount of ports with two microUSB ports, USB port, display port and headphone jack.
PLUS 10 will be offered in several different finishes and in an elegant, subdued palette of colors: metallic silver, matte white, matte volcano black and a unique warm gray leather finish, which is silky to the touch.
PLUS 10 will be available for sale in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa in June 2016.
