I’ve used a few external batteries and battery cases before to extend the battery life of my iPhone when out at a convention or at places where I know charging plugs are scarce. This is usually a great solution to at least get me through the day. The thing is that on certain days, if I’m connected to a data network all day whether it be on the internet, Twitter, Facebook, or my emails, 1 extra charge doesn’t always cut it. In fact, even with 1 full recharge, it’s possible that I might end up in the red, especially with all that data usage. Plus, once I use up the external battery, I back to having to search for an outlet to plug into. This brings me to the HyperJuice Plug which I was shown yesterday. The HyperJuice Plug is a lot larger that other devices that I’ve used, but there’s a reason for that.

You see, the HyperJuice Plus is a powerhouse when it comes to charging. It’s an external battery pack that you would carry around in a bag and comes in either 10,400mAh or 15,600mAh capacities. What this means is that you’ll be able to charge your iPhone to full capacity 7 to 11 times respectively. That is insane! Not only that, you’ll be able to charge 2 devices at once instead of just 1. You can also use this to charge you iPad and extend life by up to 23 hrs! I don’t know about you, but something like this sounds really handy if you’re going to be away from a power source for a very long time.

Intelligent Power Distribution System

HyperJuice Plug features a total of 15W power shared between 2 USB ports.
Unlike other dual USB batteries that simply designates “high power” 10W USB port (for iPad/tablet charging) and “low power” 5W USB port(for iPhone/smartphone charging),
HyperJuice Plug intelligently distributes and delivers the maximum power to individual devices irregardless of which USB port they are plugged to.
For example:

Connected Devices USB Port 1 USB Port 2
2 iPhones/smartphones 5W (5V, 1A) 5W (5V, 1A)
1 iPad/tablet and 1 iPhone/smartphone 10W (5V, 2.1A) 5W (5V, 1A)
2 iPads/tablet 7.5W (5V, 1.5A) 7.5W (5V, 1.5A)

I’m hoping to get a review unit of the HyperJuice Plug to see if it lives up to its claims and I’m really hoping it does. I’ve been told too that it works on all smartphones and tablets as long as you can charge them through USB. I’m wondering what else it can charge?
