If you love your gear, then you’re going to want to keep it clean. Most tech heads I know are compulsive cleaners of all their gadgets whether it be their mobile phones, tablets, or laptops. I find myself wiping down my iPhone every few minutes even if there’s just a tiny smudge on it. It’s just the way we roll as we want our gadgets looking their best at all times. But what do we clean them with? That’s a question Antec tries to answer with their line of Antec Advance Cleaning Solutions. I’ll be taking a look at the 100% Natural Spray kit today.
First off, this is a cleaning solution to clean screens. It’s not really used to clean anything else besides that. As you know, monitors are by far some of the hardest things to keep clean as touching them automatically causes smudges and then there’s always the accidental sneeze. If you try wiping them with a dry cloth, it just smears it around. Alcohol and ammonia aren’t recommended because they can damage the screen.
Antec as your know makes a lot of really good computer accessories which include enclosures, cooling solutions, and power supplies. They are pretty well known in the market so with the release of their new Cleaning Solutions, you know they’ve at least done their research. Their 100% Natural Spray as you can guess is made from all organic sources with no chemical additives. This also means it is alcohol and ammonia-free.

I tried the spray out on several different types or monitors. First up was a really old CRT monitor that was completely smudged up with grease and fingerprints. A few sprays of the solution and a complete wipe down with the microfiber cloth made it shine like new. Next I tried it on a Macbook Pro and the same thing, it cleaned it with ease with only a few wipes. It dries fast and leaves zero smudges or residue. Same goes for LCD panels. Spray it on and wipe it off leaving a clean, smooth, matte finished screen. As for being fingerprint resistant, I don’t know about that. After cleaning, I could still smudge the screen up but I guess they mean it leaves “less” fingerprints then it did before.
Obviously this also works great for tablets and mobile phone screens where we are constantly touching them. Luckily, Antec does make a smaller, more portable 60 mL bottle that you can carry around with you in your bag.
