At CES 2012 HTC announced their first Windows Phone to run on AT&T LTE network. The HTC Titan II (previously dubbed HTC Radiant) is packed with features.  The Titan II has a massive 4.7 inch LCD screen. It also boasts a 16 megapixel camera with wide angle lens (which is the most megapixels available on a smartphone).  It comes with autofocus and dual LED flash.  The camera has options to help get the most out of the high quality camera such as panoramic shots and shooting for action photography. It also has a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera which is great for video-chatting. M0vies and TV shows are readily available from HTC Watch.  On the go gaming is also available with Xbox Live.

The Titan II has a Qualcomm S2 snapdraggon single-core processor.  The device currently runs Windows Phone Mango (7.5).  It has a large onscreen keyboard and access to  Windows Phone Office Hub, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook Mobile.  There will also be HTC exclusive applications available in the Windows marketplace.

While it has many upgrades from its predecessor I am not sure how popular this phone is going to be with just a single core processor.  Consumers are looking to the speeds of smartphones with dual-core processors, especialy with the rumored release of a HTC Quad-Core phone later on this year. The Windows marketplace is not an exciting app-store as they do not have the same “usual” apps as the Android Market and Apple Appstore.  I am anxious to see how the quality of the pictures come out with the 16 megapixel camera.

There is no pricing and availability on the smartphone yet.
