This year, Nintendo introduced the newest member to its portable gaming machine line with the Nintendo 3DS. This revolutionary handheld sports the first ever no-glasses 3-D technology on any handheld gaming machine. Like it’s predecessor, it features a dual screen layout with the top screen being 3-D enabled while the bottom screen allows for touch controls using a stylus. As an added bonus to those who are already invested with Nintendo DS games, the 3DS is fully backwards compatible with all current and past DS games as well as the new 3DS games.
This holiday season, Nintendo will be introducing 2 limited-edition bundles starting this Thanksgiving featuring 2 unique colors. First up is the Flame Red Nintendo 3DS which will come packaged with the newly released Mario 3D Land. It will be available at a slightly higher, $199.99 price point, but again, it will be in a limited edition color and include a game already.
