Samsung Galaxy Nexus *Holiday Gift Guide 2011*

The first phone to boast Android 4.0 “Ice cream sandwich (ICS)” OS, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is on high demand on this year’s holiday wish list. While the phone has a slightly larger screen than usual 4.65” it remains thin and light (the buttons are on the screen). The beautiful display wonderfully shows off the sleek polished style of ICS.   With an improved user interface; gestures and swipes are a breeze. Android seems to have taken a huge step in the right direction with ICS as the features are greatly integrated to make the experience accurate and quick.  Some of the new features include Face Unlock which seems pretty precise.  Android Beam is another new feature in which information such as contacts, app names and maps can be transferred between two phones in near proximity (with NFC). The Panorama mode and editing features on the camera are also great additions to the stock Android OS.

There are two versions; the 16 GB model and the 32 GB.  Choose wisely as this phone does not have a micro SD expansion slot. The battery life is good considering all of the features and display.  This is a must have for that person who needs the latest in technology!
