Home Theater

Some people buy the nice big TV, the banging home theater system (either 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound) and think you are doing it big. But if you really had the cash and space for that matter, this is how you would bring the Theater to your home!

Jeremy Kipnis spent $6 million to create the theater you see in the picture above. It has 8.8 channels of surround sound, 16 subwoofers and a video resolution four times that of 1080p. If you think your 42, 47, 50, 55 inch TV is big, you are about to feel small. For video, he is using Sony’s formerly commercial $100,000 4K SRX-R110 projector, lighting up an 18-by-10-foot Stewart Snowmatte “laboratory-grade” screen. It can upconvert all Blu-ray and HD DVD content to 4,096 x 2,160 in analog.

Funny enough this Theater only sits 3, which seems a waste for such a extravagant setup, but I guess who can complain, for 6 million I might feel a little selfish too lol
