In 2014, there were two films I completely underestimated, Guardians of the Galaxy and Kingsman: The Secret Service. With the sequel of the former just weeks away, I am excited to report a Kingsman sequel is making a return as well. For those who need a refresher, the first film followed recruitment and training of, Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton). From street kid into even more resourceful agent for the secret organization called Kingsman.

The sequel brings with it an interesting twist, after the destruction of their headquarters Eggsy, Merlin (Mark Strong), and Roxy (Sophie Cookson) head to the United States, to meet with their American counterpart, the Statesman. They join resources to locate Poppy (Julianne Moore), criminal mastermind and member of the secret new world order group “The Golden Circle”.

“Kingsman: The Secret Service” was based on the comic book “The Secret Service,” by graphic novel illustrator Dave Gibbons (Watchmen) and writer Mark Millar (Captain America: Civil War, Kick-Ass, Wanted). Returning Director Vaughn (X-Men: First Class) co-wrote the script with Jane Goldman.
