Fresh off the Destiny: Age of Triumph excitement the good folks over at Bungie confirmed Destiny 2 a couple of days ago and as of today gave us an official release trailer of the game itself.
The trailer is a cinematic trailer featuring Zavala and the always comedic Cayde 6 telling the story explaining the premise of Destiny 2. It’s all about the Cabal.
Essentially, the Cabal attacked the Guardians strongholds and destroyed everything which now explains why you can’t carry over any previous years’ weapons and armor. It keeps the story cohesive and also allows for new players to enter into the series. Aside from that, the Cabal look bad ass and so does what appears to be the big bad boss of it all (or at least one of them) Gall.
We didn’t get to see any actual gameplay from Destiny 2 but I imagine it won’t stray far from what we have now which is really good plus some tweaks. You can be sure however that with Bungie announcing that the game is ready for pre-order and an early beta that come E3 time we will see some actual gameplay. It’s really exciting and as a Destiny player I can’t wait to see what Bungie has coming. We do know that the game is going to have a Collector’s edition and a Limited edition each giving you something nice as a Destiny player.
