Game Outlet Europe, an independent distributor of video games and gaming accessories based in Karlstad, Sweden, has announced that 8BitDo has begun shipping the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox across the UK and Europe, starting October 23, 2026. Described as 8BitDo’s most advanced controller yet, it brings years of development and engineering into one package designed for professional gamers but accessible to all.
The Ultimate 3E is officially licensed for Xbox and compatible with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Players can connect over 2.4GHz wireless or a standard wired connection for tournament use. It also works with Windows PC, while integrated Bluetooth supports Apple and Android devices for mobile gaming on the go.
Modular, Swappable Parts
Customization is at the center of the Ultimate 3E. It ships with modular, swappable parts included in the box, so players can change the feel of the controller to match their playstyle by swapping the ABXY modules, thumbsticks and D-pads.
- ABXY modules: choose between silicone or micro-switch buttons for two distinct button feels in one controller.
- D-pads: two premium options are available, a classic D-pad for precision and a circular D-pad for smooth directional rolls.
- Thumbsticks: two standard thumbsticks come equipped, with two Tall thumbsticks, one Thick-Neck thumbstick and one Dome thumbstick as additional hot-swappable options.
New Design and Precision Controls
The Ultimate 3E features an all-new design for 8BitDo, with a wider grip angle for comfort and silicone side-grips for stability during intense gameplay sessions.
For competitive play on PC, the controller supports a polling rate of up to 1000Hz. The dual thumbsticks use TMR technology paired with a 12-bit ADC sampling chip for enhanced precision and stability, and interactive RGB Fire Rings around the thumbsticks provide real-time visual feedback during gameplay.
The Hall-effect Impulse Triggers let players choose between two trigger stops, while extra Bumpers (L4 and R4) add faster reaction times. Two pro-level Back Buttons allow action button functions to be remapped to the rear of the controller, so thumbs can stay on the sticks during complex maneuvers.
When using 2.4GHz mode on PC, the Ultimate 3E also offers customizable 6-axis motion control for motion-based aiming and gameplay. The free 8BitDo Ultimate Software X provides further tuning, including button mapping, thumbstick sensitivity, trigger range and vibration feedback intensity.
Battery Life and Included Accessories
An included Charging Dock stores and charges the controller, powering the internal rechargeable battery for up to 18 hours of continuous gaming on a full charge. An Accessory Pack and a Travel Case are also included.
