It had been a long time coming but BlizzCon is back! They started off in fantastic fashion as Johanna Faries who is President of Blizzard Entertainment gave off a passionate and heartfelt thank you to the Blizzard gaming community.
Following up her intro was Dan Hay who if you are unfamilar was one of the heads over at Ubisoft that spearheaded the Far Cry franchise. Now he is focusing all those talents on the remergence of StarCraft. Fans have been clamoring for a new Starcraft game for over a decade now and if you haven’t seen that trailer feast your eyes below as you will be locked in.
Sitting in the audience you could hear the excitement and roar of the fanbase and even myself was pretty amped wanting to play this upcoming title. Its being slated as an open world shooter with a release date of 2030.
A game that will be coming out slightly sooner and even suprised a few folks was Diablo V. This new title will take place 100 years after Diablo IV. Blizzard made sure to keep fans of IV happy with Season of Hell’s Legacy coming on Sept 15th and Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection arriving on Nintendo Switch™ 2 the same day.
All this Diablo news ties into the franchise celebrating a 30 year run with alot more to come.
WOW is adding a new experience alongside Modern and Classic that will be called World of Warcraft: Forever. There will be over a 1,000 quests, new zones, new raids, new dungeons, and the list goes on as you explore Azeroth.
WOW: Forever also will be bringing controller support which is a feature WOW gamers have been clamoring forever(no pun intended). This may also be a way to pull in new players that don’t fancy using a mouse and keyboard. The beta for World of Warcraft: Forever starts on Sept 17th with a full release of the game on Nov 4th.
There are tons of other games with new content such as Heartstone, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, and WarCraft III. You can more about those titles HERE
