Save the date and join Bungie on May 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM PDT for a streaming event to reveal upcoming content for the next year of Destiny 2. Developers will discuss the first expansion, The Edge of Fate, and much more during the event.
Previously known as Frontiers, this expansion is set to twist the gameplay cadence in having players jump into a new zone and tackle the content however they please, giving the element of organic exploration and progression. Behemoth is suppose to have some form of rougelite features – experimental stuff that’s designed to change the pace of Destiny 2 as a whole.
Episode Heresy just concluded (abruptly) and now we have this huge 3-month gap of no new content. The Destiny community has shown some concerns whether or not Bungie will deliver Frontiers at all given the focus on Marathon. The air was cleared a bit when Destiny 2 Team twitter stated that it is indeed coming Summer 2025.
My main concern with Bungie’s upcoming expansion is if it’ll have that sense of wonder. In either case, I am interested and looking forward to seeing what this expansion is all about.
