Cant believe its been 45yrs since the inception of Pac-Man and over that period of time we have seen it create numerous games, spin-offs, and even a cartoon. All stuff from my childhood. Last month we talked about PowerA partnering with Pac-Man to celebrate 45yrs in the game(literally). Now we have some actual hands-on with two of the accessories such as a wireless controller for Xbox and a Protection Case for Nintendo Switch.
Wireless Controller for Xbox Series X/S – Pac Man SE
The design on this controller is quite impressive as it looks like an actual map of the levels in the classic Pac Man game. There is details such as Pac-Man himself, Ghosts, and some fruit laid out all over.
This controller feels not just one but two different ways to glow. It has the ability to glow on the front as well as on the back. Gaming features on this controller feature Hall Effect thumbsticks and Triggers. There are also mappable buttons on the back. You can do additional programming via its PowerA GamerHQ app. For wireless capabilities it does use a USB wireless dongle you have to plug in your XBox(or PC) console. If you prefer wired there is a 10ft USB-C cable.
Protection Case for Nintendo Switch – Pac Man Retro Arcade
This may look like your typical protection case for the Switch but there is fun to be had. The front of the case has the ability to add stickers(clings). You can create your own Pac-Man level scenario and they are reusable as you can add and remove at your leisure. This is definitely a cool way to add customization.
