I’ve been on a mission to find cases that are MagSafe-compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. While the phone itself doesn’t support MagSafe officially, adding a case that has it will allow you to attach MagSafe-compatible accessories to it, such as wireless chargers, portable chargers, and other accessories. One brand I found that has this built-in is Benks, which makes several Galaxy S24 Ultra cases, many of which feature DuPont Kevlar fiber. The three cases from Benks I looked at are the MagClap ArmorPro, Montage ArmoPro, and the MagClap ArmorAir.
Benks MagClap ArmorPro
The Benks MagClap ArmorPro case is a really interesting case that is fast becoming one of my top favorites. This case features 600D Dupont Kevlar fiber on the back with a TPU frame. The camera opening has a protective surround with a raised lip for extra lens protection. It also seems to have a soft-touch-like coating to it that gives the case a really smooth, silky feel.
I love the look of the case where it has a stealth-like appeal. The theme is carried over to its MagSafe-compatible magnetic ring that is built into the case, but hidden from view. You don’t even know it’s there and the only indication it’s there is the diagram on the inside of the case.
Other than that, the Benks MagClap ArmorPro offers a good amount of protection. The phone fits snugly in the case with protection around the buttons and screen, all while still maintaining a slim look and feel.
Benks Montage ArmorPro
The Benks Montage ArmorPro case is similar to the MarClap Armor Pro. The main difference is that this case features both 600D and 1500D Dupont Kevlar fiber. This produces quite an interesting pattern on the back of the phone where there are different weave patterns. It’s pretty nice looking and gives it a bit of a different look from the regular MagClap ArmorPro case.
Protection-wise, it’s the same case. It fits the same, offers the same type of protection, and it also has the same raised protective camera surrounds. My favorite part however is the built-in magnetic charging ring that lets you use MagSafe-compatible accessories. Benks did an amazing job integrating this into the case where you don’t even see it on the outside. You only know there’s a wring because the inside of the case has a diagram of it.
Overall, another solid case that will sit in my rotation.
Benks MagClap ArmorAir
The Benks MagClap ArmorAir is where things get different. This case is completely different from the ArmorPro style cases and is the thinnest case I’ve ever seen. It’s still made of 600D Dupont Kevlar fiber, but the case is so thin, that it’s almost like just adding a layer of skin to your phone. The case is a fraction of a millimeter thick, yet it’s super rigid and because the whole thing is made of Kevlar, it’s also super strong. It still has the extra protective lip around the camera lenses and that’s the only part of the case that is thick.
When on, it covers most of the phone, though the left and right sides are slightly exposed. Having it on feels like there’s nothing even there so this would be a perfect case for those who really don’t like cases. As thin as this case is, it’s also quite amazing that it also includes a magnetic ring, making it MagSafe-compatible for many accessories.
While I prefer the other two cases, the MagClap ArmorAir is really unique and perfect again for those who want something thin that doesn’t add any bulk at all.
FINAL THOUGHTS
These cases were my first experience with Benks and I must say, I’m really impressed by the quality and build of their cases. I’ll definitely be checking them out again for any future cases I may need.
