With advancements in wireless charging, you really don’t need to plug in your phone anymore to charge. I charge my phone wirelessly each night and have been doing so for several years now. I do this because I don’t need to fumble around for a cable and literally just drop my phone on the charging pad and that’s it. Now of course there are MagSafe-compatible wireless chargers that make wireless charging even easier, such as the iOttie Velox Wireless Duo Stand. The iOttie Velox Wireless Duo Stand is a sleek and modern charging solution for those who appreciate minimalist design and the convenience of wireless charging.
The stand’s small size is a major plus, allowing it to fit on nightstands or cluttered desks. The base is a small circle with just enough space to fit your earbud charging case. There’s a bar that protrudes upward attached to a circular magnetic charging pad that is MagSafe-compatible. Your phone can be placed on this in either landscape or portrait orientation.
Because this uses the Qi standard, you aren’t limited to just Apple devices. This works just as well with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, as long as I use a case that is Magsafe-compatible. One thing to note is that wireless charging here isn’t quick. It’s limited to 5W for the Qi charging pad and 7.5W for the MagSafe mount. That doesn’t bother me much since I charge at night with reduced speeds anyway but don’t use this if you expect fast charging.
Overall, the iOttie Velox Wireless Duo Stand is a capable MagSafe charger. You wouldn’t be picking this up if you’re looking for the fastest wireless charger out there, but instead picking it up because you appreciate its good looks and minimal design. And for some, that’s good enough.
