One of the best documentaries to come out in the past year was by far Power On: The Story of XBOX. You didn’t have to be a member of the XBOX faithful or Team Green to appreciate this documentary.
If you’re a gamer and you love games then the history of the games we all love and play have a story and a history. Power On: The Story of XBOX was the history of Microsoft and XBOX and how they were able to make the transition into the ultra competitive gaming space and not only be successful but one of the “Big Three” of gaming. It’s an introspective into the games, the people, the expectations, the failures and the successes all coming together to bring us what we have today 20 years later with XBOX.
