Do you know what a lot of modern-day laptops and tablets lack? Ports. In the quest to be lighter and thinner, many laptops and tablets forego many ports in favor of just one or two USB-C ports. Many don’t even have standard USB ports anymore or other useful ports like Ethernet and display. To alleviate this issue, you have to use a hub that will basically add a whole bunch of ports for you at a reasonable price. Hubs like the EZQuest USB-C 8-Port Hub Adapter are a must-have for those wanting to expand the usefulness of their devices by adding back that which we have taken for granted.

The EZQuest USB-C 8-Port Multimedia Hub is a small, wallet-sized device that connects to your device’s USB_C port. This includes laptops, tablets, and even smartphones. What the hub adds is 8-ports in total – 1xHDMI 4K port, 1xUSB-C PD port, 1xGigabit Ethernet, 3xUSB 3.0 Ports, and 1xSD and 1xMicroSD card port. For testing purposes, I tried it out on a Windows PC, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, and my Galaxy S21 Ultra. All three worked flawlessly.
On my laptop, all the available USB ports worked and I could use the passthrough USB-C port for charging. The Ethernet port worked great as well and I was able to connect to my home router with a wired connection. With the tablet, I was able to hook up a wired keyboard and mouse with the USB ports. I was also able to charge and use the SD card slots for transferring photos. Ethernet also worked as well. If you have an Android smartphone that supports it, this hub also works to activate Desktop Mode such as Samsung DeX.
So why would you choose the EZQuest USB-C 8-Port Multimedia Hub over others? Probably for the feature set and generous amount of extra ports. I mean the hub itself seems pretty solid with most of the body made of aluminum. Overall, you really can’t go wrong with this as it has all the features you’d want in a quality hub.
