I don’t use wired earbuds or headphones anymore as I’ve gone completely wireless now when it comes to how I listen to music. It’s just more convenient not having something that could get tangled up around your body or in your bag. While there is the small inconvenience with having to charge wireless earbuds or headphones, they actually last a pretty long time now between charges, so just charge them at night when you’re not using them and you’ll be good.
With that said, wireless earbuds haven’t always been my favorite. There haven’t been very many that I’ve found to be comfortable, which is why I’m always on the lookout for ones that can finally call the best. It’s quite possible that I may have found them with Jabra’s new Elite Active 75t.
The Jabra Elite Active 75t are true wireless earbuds. These are their latest for those who live an active lifestyle and are built for the highest of demands. I’ve used wireless Jabra earbuds in the past, mainly the Elite Active Sport, and while those were pretty good, I had a few issues with them. Mainly they weren’t the most comfortable things to ear and the controls weren’t that great. The Jabra Elite Active 75t fixes a lot of those issues.
For starters, these Jabra Elite Active 75t are way more comfortable now. These don’t have the EarWings anymore which is a big part of what makes them more comfortable. Instead, you just insert them into your ear with the properly sized EarGels and that’s it. They just seem to fit. They don’t fall out and they don’t push up against the side of my ears anymore which is what made them hurt before. These seem perfectly sized for me and that’s not something I can say often about earbuds.
Next up, the controls are so much better now. Each earbud has a real physical button that you actually have to push down on and they do different things depending on how many times you push down. I find these to be much better than touch buttons as you aren’t accidentally making them do things if you are adjusting your earbuds or brush up on them casually. I”m not really going to go into detail on how to use the buttons and what they do, but just know that it isn’t too difficult to figure out how to use them and once you do it’ll be like second nature.
You will want to download the Jabra Sound+ app as you need to adjust several settings. Mainly it’s used so you can adjust sound profiles, set the default virtual assistant, and update the firmware when needed.
That brings us to the audio quality of the Jabra Elite Active 75t. These things sound really good. There is a really good amount of bass in these where it’s very low and deep, but it doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. There’s a full range of sounds there and yo ucan completely modify that to your liking using the Sound+ app’s equalizer. Chat audio is also crisp and clear so these work great for calls.
I also like the fact that these have a HearThrough mode that you can turn on and off with a push of a button. I’m a big fan of when earbuds have this feature as it allows you to hear whats going on around you without having to take off your earbuds. Plus you can still listen to your music while this is on. You can also adjust the amount of HearThrough there is with the Sound+ app.
When it comes to charging the earbuds, all you have to do it drop them into the charging case. The earbuds themselves can be used for up to 7.5 hours on a single charge, but extended to about 28 hours with the use of the charging case. The case can be fast charged via USB-C port and is also used when updating the firmware on the earbuds. The case is small, lightweight, and easily pocketable. I love how secure it feels too with the magnetic enclosure and the way the earbuds just magnetically attach to their resting places.
While the Jabra Elite Active 75t is very near perfect, there is one little issue. You can only use the right earbud on its own and not the left one. Basically if you only want to use one of the earbuds, it has to be the right one. I wish they’d let you choose which one.
Anyways, that’s really the only little annoyance I’ve come across and it’s one that a lot of these wireless earbuds share. Despite this, the Jabra Elite Active 75t is one of my favorite wireless earbuds at the moment thanks in part to its fantastic fit, audio quality, and versatility. These are earbuds that look every bit at home at the office as they do at the gym.
With that said, I highly recommend the Jabra Elite Active 75t if you’re look for one of the best truly wireless earbuds out there. There are three different color choices available right now with three more on the way.
