With less than two months away, Marvel has dropped the final trailer for Black Widow. Taking place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, “Black Widow” forces Natasha Romanoff on a solo mission to face her past. Directed by Cate Shortland (Berlin Syndrome) the film also stars David Harbour (Stranger Things) as Alexei, aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh (Little Women, Midsommar) as Yelena Belova, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.

After Marvel’s decimation of the box office last year, I wasn’t sure how they could top it. Now, having recently watched Shortland’s gritty psychological thriller, “Berlin Syndrome” I instantly understood why Marvel wanted her for Directing duties. While this trailer gives you a clearer picture of the plot of the film, I really hope it brings that level of intensity and grit. Black Widow arrives on the big screen on May 1st, 2020.
