CODMW

The last time I played the Campaign for Call of Duty was back in 2014 when Advanced Warfare came out. Before that was back in 2007 when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released. Since those two versions, I have not touched the campaign mode. I had no interest in playing the campaign, simply wanting to jump right into the multiplayer mode. Other players must have felt the same, which I believe is the reason Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 did not have a campaign mode.

In any game, the story is everything and what truly stands out about the Call of Duty franchise is how they incorporate history or current events into their games. Giving a history lesson as you play and watch the cut scenes. Previous versions focused on the Cold War, WW1, and WW2, even coming out with games called World At War. Focusing on the weapons and story of WW2. The Modern Warfare story focuses on our battle against terrorism.

I will say that Modern Warfare has caught my attention. The story appears to go in an interesting direction out the gate. It takes on a journey as the previous versions have taken us. This time with more realism and fine little details in the graphics. I will definitely be continuing the campaign to see how things end. Keep an eye out for more gameplay and my thoughts on the different modes in CoD: MW.
