To kick off the Star Wars Celebration Chicago weekend, attendees were treated to some behind the scenes photos and panels with some of the cast members of the latest Star Wars Entry. As some people suspected, the real surprise was the teaser trailer of the latest film with the title finally being revealed. Director J.J Abrams returns to helm the last chapter of the Star Wars Skywalker saga with Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, and Billy Dee Williams returning as Lando Calrissian.
On an interesting note, the trailer opens with, “Every generation has a legend…” That line has a special meaning, as its also the exact line that opens the first trailer for Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be out December 20th, 2019.
