Back in 1997, Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith (J and K) introduced the world to the Men in Black, a top-secret organization established to monitor and police alien activity on Earth while protecting the earth from extraterrestrial threats. This time around we’re introduced to MIB agents, H, and M (Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson), with Emma Thompson reprising her role as Agent O (from MiB 3) and Liam Neeson. Joining the cast is Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible) in an undisclosed role.
Directed by F. Gary Gray (The F8te of the Furious, Straight Outta Compton, The Italian Job), and written by writing partners Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Transformers: The Last Knight, Punisher War Zone, Iron Man). By the trailer alone, you can tell from the tone this will not be the same MiB movie we’re used to. While facing inter-galactic threats, in this new (spin-off) adventure, they tackle their biggest threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.
The universe is expanding, Men in Black International opens June 14th, 2019.
