Hellboy [Official Trailer]

Earlier this year, Guillermo del Toro won Best Picture and Director for this work on The Shape of Water. Back in 2002 and 2004, He truly made a name for himself with his phenomenal work with Blade II and more to the point, Hellboy. No one can argue, del Toro is truly a master when it comes to his visual storytelling. So when news broke that they were going to reboot the Hellboy series. Everyone lay impatiently waiting for this moment, the first trailer reveal of the NEW Hellboy.

Those who were fortunate to catch the Hellboy panel at New York Comic Con this year were treated to this trailer already. Those not in the know, Hellboy is a half-demon who works with the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD), A group created to protect the world from supernatural forces. Playing Big Red, also known as Hellboy this time around is David Harbour (Stranger Things), Ian McShane (John Wick, American Gods) plays Professor Bruttenholm Hellboy’s surrogate father and mentor, rounding off the cast is Sasha Lane (American Honey) as Alice, Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-O) as Ben Daimio and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) playing the sorceress Nimue a.k.a. The Blood Queen. Neil Marshall (The Descent, Doomsday, Centurion) is on Directing duties this time around and if you’re familiar with his work, prepare yourself for a truly dark and violent trip. Hellboy comic book creator Mike Mignola co-writes this reboot with Andrew Cosby and has promised a film more grounded than ever before to the source material.

Hellboy opens April 12th, 2019.
