It was mentioned back at E3 this year during XBox’s briefing that they wanted to make it so you could have console style gaming any and everywhere. It came across as a blip on the screen and everyone was ecstatic. Months later Microsoft is giving us some more insight calling it Project xCloud. Its being tested right now with mobile devices and tablets and utilizing a wireless xbox controller. They are stating that down the line you can even game “mobile style” using on-screen button mapping.

Looking at the video Microsoft is building upon their Azure servers and making stronger with it already in 54 regions and 140 countries. Microsoft wants to make dedicated servers with blades that are designed with mini chipsets like mini Xbox Ones built-in. They are looking to do public trials next year and I can’t wait to try it out and do console style gaming everywhere.
