This will be Hugh Jackman’s ninth and possibly his last appearance on film as Logan, the Wolverine. James Mangold returns to the director’s chair, having surpassed everyone’s exceptions with The Wolverine (2013). It was no small feat, not just making a better film than X-Men Origins: Wolverine but getting us to almost forget it existed. In this outing, the film is rumored to have borrowed some elements of the graphic novel “Old Man Logan”. Set to Johnny Cash’s cover of the Nine Inch Nails’ classic “Hurt” the trailer gives you just the right amount of tease to make you want more. We see some old friends, our first preview of characters Donald Pierce, played by Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant as Caliban and Laura played by new comer Boyd Holbrook as.. I shouldn’t reveal here who she may be. The film has been rumored to sport an R-rating upon final release, clearly its taking some cues from the success of Deadpool (2016).
Hugh Jackman’s Logan makes his final bow in theaters March 3rd, 2017.
