Hack and slash, demons, dark fantasy, goth pretty much explains the series Devil May Cry, Originally intended to be a sequel in Capcom’s Resident Evil series, Devil May Cry was such a radical departure from the series’ style that it was developed into it’s own series. Now we’ve all seen the “New” Dante, and of course his new look has caused some hardcore fans to become extremely upset to the point were the wont even buy the game.

At New York City’s Comic Con Capcom the publishers of the series decide to explain the game in detail along with how they came up with Dante’s “New” look.

When producers from the East asked the producers from the West to come up with a “Hollywood” look for Dante they had to make a hard decisions on what Dante will look like.

The Dante we are used to has influences of the West; flamboyant bright colors, now look at the East influences; neutral colors, and serious. They tried there best to fuse both and came up with the Dante you see now.

Capcom did show us an exclusive video of the game, graphics are amazing the combs in the game look sick, Dante still has the bad ass attitude were used to and love. They did announce Mudus but were secretive about others that will appear in the game. When asked if this game would go into detail about Dante’s parents one of the Capcom producers said “yes”.

The new game is developed by Ninja Theory and centers on a parallel universe version of Dante. Dante still has my personal favorite weapon the “The Sword of Sparda” along with “Ebony and Ivory” his Dual customized M1911 pistols.

Capcom tried to explain the game and new look of Devil May Cry hoping the fans would see it’s still the same bad ass game we are used to. Now I know people don’t do well with change especially when we are used to the way he looked for years. Check the trailer I’ve put up and tell me would you really pass playing the game just because Dante has a new look?
