Many Apple users are taking advantage of the AirPlay feature. AirPlay lets you stream music throughout your entire house — wirelessly. AirPlay wireless technology can be found in speaker docks, AV receivers, and stereo systems. It makes enjoying your iTunes library easy and quick. There’s another AirPlay friendly speaker added to the list.

Libratone Zipp Details

The Libratone Zipp is a compact AirPlay speaker. For maximum flexibility, the Zipp is also capable of streaming music directly from an iPhone, iPod, iPad as well as a Mac or PC with iTunes without needing a home network like most AirPlay speakers. There’s no need for a complicated setup as you dont need a Wi-Fi connection.

The Zipp has interchangeable wool wraps to match your mood and style. The speaker covers come in a range of exciting colors, including Salty Grey, Pepper Black, Pineapple Yellow, Raspberry Red, Passion Pink, Plum Purple, Petrol Blue and Icy Blue. All colors are sold separately and are quick and easy to change, allowing you to pick a color for every occasion. Just “unzipp” and “Zipp” to dress up the speaker.

PlayDirect allows for easy, out-of-the-box use. It creates a direct connection with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. You can stream to multiple speakers at once.

It might be a little pricey for some at $399. But the speaker has a 4” bass and two 1” ribbon based tweeters plus a built-in rechargeable battery. You can buy a single color or different color collections.
