The TiVo Premiere was is the latest generation of TiVo that everyone loved when the TiVo first launched in 1999. The TiVo Premiere is pretty much a cable box replacement that brings DVR into you household with many more features. The Premiere works with HD and standard Def TVs, but not with Satellite.

In terms of style and design, the premiere is smaller and compact from its predecessors. The remote looks like a large phone and the slider qwerty keyboard comes in handy when searching quickly for a shows or movies. I especially like the design of the remote as it seems to be very practical when searching.

Although TiVo may be an aging company in the DVR market, they certainly are still in the game with products that are top of the line.

The TiVo Premiere comes in two versions: the regular version, which is now available for $99 and $19.99 a month with a 2 year contract, and the TiVo Premiere XL, which is also now available for $299.99 and $19.99 a month with a 1 year contract.
