So what a first night here in Las Vegas. CES hasn’t officially started yet, but we’ll starting it up early with trips to Pepcom’s Digital Experience with a truckload of companies present their latest products. There was way more people there that I thought for this event. So split the team and covered as much as we could.

Some of the these were Motorola showing off their Android tablet, Nike with their Nike+ SportWatch GPS, Blackberry had their Playbook and only that *yawn*. There was also the Samsung Infuse 4G, HTC had Inspire 4G for AT&T which was quite interesting, very exciting to see this phone. We’ll be checking out HTC with more detail in the next couple days.

On the party side we checked out the Eat, Drink, Blog @ Lenovo party sponsored by Lenovo and gdgt.com. Nice party, not as jammed backed as it was last year, which was definitely a good thing (last year you could barely move around). We ran into some old friends like Ryan Block and the man himself Nan Palmero (the guy in the picture above), as well as new ones like Ryan Hamrick.

Overall it was great night with good friends and tons of already great products. Today marks the official start of CES, so stay fixed on our Twitter and Flickr feed!

And yes that is me laughing it up in the background
